Monthly-Picks-Header

Everyone knows that I’m all about helping others experience their own version of a great life with great sex.

I’m not going to lie, it’s possible and it takes work. Truth be told, work isn’t a dirty word anymore than sex is. When we put effort into something, we see the results. I invest in my marriage and my sex life on a regular basis and I’m proud to say the work pays off in pleasure.

My monthly pleasure pick is influenced by my own personal experience—and reviews by my clients. We’ll include what’s hot and trending, as well as good old tried and true staples that could make great additions to your pleasure toolbox.

Check here each month for my latest recommendations and listen as I share the details about these picks on the GirlBoner Podcast.

June Pleasure Pick

This month, I’m excited to share something different which isn’t for everyone but for some it’s a game changer! If you’ve ever — or routinely — experience pain with penetration, this month’s pick is for you!

My June Hot Pick is the OhNut. The Oh Nut is life changing for many vulva owners who experience pain with penetration. (Pain may be related to pelvic floor dysfunction, having a partner with a large penis, endometriosis, fibroids, interstitial cystitis, cancer treatments of chemotherapy/radiation and Vaginismus to name but a few of the causes.)

The OhNut is an intimate wearable device composed of a series of 4 stretchy rings that link together and let you customize the depth of penetration, whether by a penis, dildo, or dilator. You personally choose how deeply you want to be penetrated by sliding the chosen number of interlocking rings over a lubricated shaft until it reaches the base, leaving the rest of the shaft ready for penetration. The material is a body-safe, food-grade, antimicrobial polymer blend that’s squishy enough to be a buffer between your body and what’s penetrating you.

The OhNut can be used with water or silicone based lubes and is even compatible with condoms….and did I mention that it’s designed to feel like skin.

In addition to using this with a partner, the OhNut can also be used on larger dilators (Dilators being a set of dildos that progressively get bigger to help the body get used to penetration), and dilators can also be used by trans folks who have gender affirmation surgery, as vaginal dilation is a necessary part of the healing process of vaginoplasty.

What do OhNut users say about the experience?

Consistently,  I hear clients share that the OhNut is really helpful in allowing them to let go and be in the moment instead of being in their heads, reminding themselves to relax their body and pelvic floor muscles so it wouldn’t hurt. Although some have thought shallower penetration wouldn’t feel as good,  I hear that while it is different, but still really pleasurable.

From partners, I hear that it can be a little snug getting over the head of the penis but once slid it into place and there’s penetration, even though some of the penis isn’t thrusting in and out of a vagina, it’s still inside something and it doesn’t feel like anything is missing. For people with larger penises, the OhNut may feel a little uncomfortable, but, overall I hear It’s definitely not as uncomfortable as the sex would be if it wasn’t used.

So while the OhNut isn’t for every body and it certainly won’t work for all types of pelvic pain, it most definitely is a game changer for many to let go and enjoy penetrative sex without pain.
